The only way is to turn off the ability for the user to insert/remove rows, and then replace that functionality with your own buttons.

Have you verified that your code works outside of InfoPath?
One thought is that you might need to escape your backslash character... i.e.:
tf = fso.CreateTextFile(''c:\\dev\\test.txt'', true);
Not sure if that will make a difference, but as the error is complaining about the filename, it seems a likely possibility.

Hi there,
I'm sure I'm missing something here, but rather than adding a new record can this method be used to edit an existing record?
I've got a couple of forms I've designed where I'm pulling a record from a list and I want to write back a value.
for Example: I've got a holiday request form for our company where each person has an allocated ...

Anyone know how to get rid of the really annoying Cut/Paste/Copy section that appears in Repeating Sections and Tables even if you remove the insert options?

Hi everybody,
I have 2 lists with infopath forms in 2 different documents libraries in sharepoint 2003.
In the first form, I have some text box and a rich text box.
In the second form, I have a repeating table with all fields mapped from the first formular (through a data connection to the list).

You cannot change the attributes of an InfoPath control directly from code (which is something I have told Microsoft is a bug), but you can create several instances of a control configured to look exactly how you want and then switch them on and off with conditional formatting.

DuneBug is exactly right on this one. You will want to do something like this:
DateTime startTime = DateTime.Parse( stringValueOfStartTimeField );
DateTime endTime = DateTime.Parse( stringValueOfEndTimeField );
TimeSpan duration = endTime.Subtract( startTime );
string output = duration.Hours + '':'' + duration.Minutes; // Assumes < 24 hours, ...

Hi Checco and welcome to the forum!
I'm not exactly sure what you mean by ''free'', but I think you are talking about setting the xsi:nill attribute, which can be done by changing your XML string to the following:
<my:Prestito xmlns:my='http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/infopath/2003/myXSD/2007-01-18T17:05:24' ...

Where are you getting the thisXDocument from. It's not in my availble list of objects with my current name spaces. Also - I am using web only enabled features.

Hi Biovox,
We also have a Common class, which we are working up to release to the public before too long. Here's the steps we use:
1. Add Common.cs to current InfoPath FormCode project.
2. Change namespace in Common.cs to match that of the FormCode class
3. Create a private global 'c' variable of Common type
4. In OnLoad, call c.Init(x,y) where ...
