By group I assume you are referring to a physical group in the DOM, and not just a conceptual group.
Are you asking whether there is a way to have one and only one box checked in the group? Or are you asking whether there is a way to know if at least one box is checked in the group? Or am I not understanding yet?

Was the field visible, and not read-only before the afterUpdate event?

There is an XDocuments collection. It gives you access to the DOM for every open form, allowing you to copy the required value.

The .xsn file is just a .cab file. You can rename it to .cab and then extract the source files out. Then you can open the manifest.xsf file in notepad, and remove the xsf:header block. When done, right-click the manifest.xsf file and choose design. Then save your template back to a .xsn file.

Glad to have helped! Take care!

It is probably the code you have under the comment: // Write code here to restore the global state.
Here you are are clearing the value of VendorProduct on every change.

I have 10 check boxes that all belong to same group. Since they belong to same group I only need one box checked (of the 10). Is there a function in InfoPath that allows me to use a group box and add the 10 check boxes to the group and set the rule that at least one box needs to be checked? Thank you.

I don't know the source of the problem, but it sounds like the data connection to your SharePoint list is returning a string datatype rather than a rich text data type. I'm not sure whether the SharePoint List connection even supports rich text... perhaps someone else can jump in here or you can do a little testing/debugging on it to find out.

IP2007 uses ''MainDataSource'' instead of ''thisXDocument''... You will need to pass in that.
