Hi,
I just started to learn InfoPath and have the following question:
I want to develop a form with an input field and a ''Search'' button.
The user should have the possiblity to fill in a key word in the input field and click on the button.
By clicking the button, a web service should be called which returns the search results.
These results ...

After publishing a form successfully using the publishing wizard, my InfoPath Form project (in VS2005) seems to get messed up and won't publish correctly anymore.
Normally when I choose ''publish'' I get a screen with a few options on where to publish. I use the option that says, ''To a SharePoint server with or without InfoPath Forms ...

I am having the same problem. I have a database with only two tables. One table containing names to populate the drop down list. The second table to write the name selected from the drop down list. I have a form with a drop down list and a text box (bound to the field in the 2nd table in the database). Populating the drop down list is without a ...

I'm using Infopath 2007 and a browser-enabled form
.....
When setting up a data connection to a Sharepoint list, how/where do I specify which view of the list I want to use? The view has been defined (in Sharepoint) with the filtering and sorting that I need - I'm just not sure how to point Infopath 2007 to this view???
Thanks,
Greg

Like putting to a file server \\fileserver\form.xsn or having the form as an attachment in an email would at least allow me to open it. I do know that we need to publish it, but it is the next ...

Sorry - I had told you earlier in this thread that you can use this in OnLoad, but I've just verified that it does not work in OnLoad... it has to be done elsewhere--which might take some figuring out on your part as to where it should occur (if you were trying to do it in OnLoad). An OnClick event is just fine, or perhaps an OnAfterChange ...

Yes, OM stands for Object Model. If you were able to successfully save your form to work with IP03, open it in IP03 and still run it, then yes, you were using the IP03 OM.
As I look back in the thread, I noticed that I should have seen that you were using the IP03 OM, but you are using JScript and not C#. Sorry--my mistake. I should have seen ...

Either I don't understand what it is you want to accomplish, or there is some fundamentals that I need to go over.
Binding: This is the association between the control (i.e. a drop-down list box) and and XML node (i.e. field) in a DOM. Most commonly, this binding occurs on a Main DOM field, as these are the ones that store the values in a way ...
