JLProgrammer, be careful to not mix syntax from multiple programming languages. Looks like you had a combination of JScript, VBScript, and C# in there!
Make sure to scan the rest of your code for any more such mixings.

I was wondering if anyone knew how to get the name of the main root node (GetThisNode) programatically. Because of multiple forms and code reuse, I want to be able to build my Xpaths behind the scenes without having to worry about the user changing any critical information:

I solved the problem in another way: I've added the department to the main data source.
No I can populate each dropbox like I want.
Anyway thanks for your help. I may become a fan of you, but I don't think I will ever become a fan of Motörhead.

I have a requirement in which, when i open the infopath form from publish location and while saving the dialog box should point to the same location where i have published the infopath form.I am using custom submit button to save the form.I cannot use onsaverequest.

2 colums from my table are the Code (fcod) and the Description (fdesc). I made a Data connection to an MDB file. I want to autocomplet the Description value if I insert a part of the Code.
I insert a rule to the fcode:
fdesc = @desc[contains(@cod; current()/../fcod)]
but I always get the first component from the MDB file.
Please help ...
