You just have to know how to use it. Since I can't take credit for figuring out how to leverage this amazing resources without code, I will link you to the place I went to learn ... Posted to General (Forum) by warrtalon on 12-17-2008 Re: save form with concat filename, but don't create a new form... You can't use the ID in that case - you'll just need to use something else. I use the now() function in the concatenated filename so that all are unique. The reason why this is happening to use is because the original filename is Test_, but the second time you submit it, it changes to Test_11. Those are different filenames, so ... Posted to Browser Forms (Forum) by warrtalon on 12-17-2008 Re: Report from Multiple Infopath Form Well, what kind of report form? You can already pull all of your data from InfoPath into the library by promoting the properties. Then, you can do all sorts of things with that data in SharePoint, such as grouping, filtering, sorting, and doing totals. Also, you can have a datasheet view that acts as a spreadsheet that you can then ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by warrtalon on 12-17-2008 Re: Active Directory in infopath Webforms There are many different causes for the data access error when using the UserProfile web service, so we would need to narrow down the variables. The big question is what happens when you just log in to your computer on the domain with a normal user ID and then try to open the form? Does it work? If not, then we can start ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by warrtalon on 12-17-2008 Re: save form with concat filename, but don't create a new form... Do you mean you don't want it to create a new form the first time and save it in limbo somewhere? You can't do that. If you mean that after the first time it is saved/submitted that all successive "submits" done by a button overwrite the previous one instead of creating a new XML form, then do what the other poster ... Posted to Browser Forms (Forum) by warrtalon on 12-16-2008 Re: Active Directory in infopath Webforms Are you getting an actual error in the Design Checker or just a warning with an info icon (blue) next to it? If it were a red error, it would tell you when you publish. Also, what error are you getting when trying to view it in SharePoint? Is it a 5566 data access error? I do exactly what you're trying to do all the time, ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by warrtalon on 12-16-2008 Re: How do I make an InfoPath form Workflow Enabled Pnewhook, That workflow setting in Central Admin is a red herring. It seems you know that, but then that makes me wonder what made you think your form has "disabled workflows." I've never even heard of that and have never encountered in all the many, many InfoPath forms I've built and integrated with ... Posted to Workflow (Forum) by warrtalon on 12-16-2008 Re: Required Text Fields Well, you are receiving these suggestions, because you are experiencing something that shouldn't happen. In all of my forms, if data validation is not met (blank field that is set to "cannot be blank" or custom data validation that is not met), then I am unable to submit or save to the library. I have never experienced ... Posted to General (Forum) by warrtalon on 12-16-2008 Re: When a field contains data, I want to automatically tick a checkbox Instead of using the word "true" or the number "1," use the function true() if it's available in 2003. I only use 2007, and this is what you use there - true() or false() - but I'm not sure about 2003. I used to try to put in the text, and it would only work if I got the exact syntax correct (it's ... Posted to General (Forum) by warrtalon on 12-16-2008 Re: Outlook and InfoPath Are you sure you need Outlook Properties, or are you talking about Active Directory properties? I think maybe because you look at Outlook properties to get this info, you are referring to it by that name? If you want to automatically retrieve any and all Active Directory information relevant to an individual and are using MOSS 2007, ...
