Since everything I have done so far in IP 2003 has been throiugh wizards, you both have lost me.
I understand the concept of creating a non-displayed field to calculate the difference between two dates, but how do I write that ''formula''.
I have never scripted or coded in IP 2003.
Thanks

Yes, I mean a button control and I'm using InfoPath 2003 SP1. I believe I don't want to copy values from one table to another.
The concept I'm trying to implement is as follows:
ProductLinesValue is a column in a table with lots of stuff in it. I wanted to display each row value in that column, which can easily be done using a repeating table. ...

Forget about my first post there should be an easier way to do this.
Just use a similar statement as you already wrote in your fist post e.g. : SELECT tires, cars from CarsDatabase FROM IdontKnowYourTableName :)
Now bind both ddls to the repeating node of your data connection and set the value and display name of your first to cars and the other ...

Hi nukkumatti!
Thanks for you quick reply! I had to install the VSTA in order to add a OnAfterChange event, now this works. However how do I bind my tires to cars? Where do I get my ''valueSelectedInYourFirstDDl'' from? Is this just like a variable and I have to name it exactly as the value-name of my first ddl?
Visual Studio doesn't know ...

Set up a second data connection and in the last step of the wizard uncheck the ''retrieve data automatically'' checkbox.
Bind your second ddl (tires) to this ...

Put a repeating section (name Result for top node and Results for repeating node) to your form and add one textbox control to it.
Put a button to your form and copy the code (after conversion though) into your onClick event of the ...

Hi all!
I hope somebody can help me, I am a little helpless at the moment.
I have the following problem:
I have two dropdownlists in my InfoPath form:
Cars and Tires package both of them are populated via
database. The tires are dependant on the car (if you have a Porsche you can only have type B-tires and Ferrari A-tires,...) so when you ...

No, I've already done this with a custom button.
What I want is that :
The user is typping a name in the text box, and when he press enter in his keyboard, the field is added in the repeating table...
maybe I ask too much :p

Thanks for the reply,
but I will need some time to understand your suggestion and do the conversion.
Anyhow, I have a whole weekend ahead to figure out what is all about.

Yes this is possible but what do you mean by:
''when the user press the enter key''. Is this a custom button you have in your form ?
