Hi shayken,
Do like this, create a dom and load the secondary xml in that. From that you can get the data what ever you want.
see the below code.
IXMLDomDocument <docName> = thisXDocument.createDOM();
<docName>.Load(“xml file”);
by using <docName> you retrieve the node value what ever you want.
Hope this will help you.

I have figured it out. The vsmacros included in the InfoPath SDK do not work under VS8 because the signcode tool has been renamed to signtool and it takes different arguments as parameters.
To sign the form template use signtool.exe located in the bin folder of the VS SDK. Make sure you include the root certificate when signing or else end users ...

Can you describe the errors that you are getting? Screenshots and the actual full text of the error messages would be helpful.
Right off the bat though, if you are using digitally signed forms have you done all the certificate setup necessary to use digital signing:

r66,
It sounds like you have many drop down selection boxes in your form that all should have the same options populated in them. Rather than typing them in manually you want to connect this to a data source.
If this data is static and not changing that often then the fastest and easiest way to do this is to make an xml resource file and add it ...

Hi
Can you tell me what error or reason for not accessing the field from the secondary data source.

Hi Basescu,
I would also try navigating to the .asmx page of the web service in a browser on a computer in the same domain as the SharePoint site that you have published the form to. If you can't get to the .asmx page from there then InfoPath is probably going to have issues as well.
It could be a permissions issue of some kind.

Here's a more detailed example of how Matt's suggestion would work with InfoPath:http://blogs.msdn.com/infopath/archive/2006/12/20/using-sql-server-2005-web-services-with-infopath.aspx

Susanna,
Can you describe the workflow here a little bit more? Sounds like you have an InfoPath browser form, the user submits the form via email and then the recipient submits that to a db?
Is that right or do I have it all wrong?
