Hi Tome,
You are using // to starting of your XPath may be that is one thing it goes to wrong. You can use only / to the starting of your XPath. You need to verify if d prefix is required or not for 'Service_Receipts' and 'SR_Employees' node. Check once again your XPath.

Hi Sharksfan,
You can do this with a custom data validation on the attachment node. Double-click the node in the Data Source task pane, go to Data Validation tab, and then add a rule that is true when:
"Attachment node is blank" AND
"Checkbox is true"
Now, add a custom error message and you should be good to go!

Hi lordpuma and welcome to the forums!
Check out this blog post to see how to setup a query filter to return a certain subset of rows from a database: http://www.infopathdev.com/blogs/matt/archive/2006/01/09/Create-a-Multi_2D00_View-Master_2F00_Detail-using-a-Query-Filter.aspx

Thanks for the response. She already had the domain listed as a Trusted Site. She added the domain to the Local Intranet setting, that did not do anything. I have checked the form security and it is set appropriately, to trust data from the domain. As I said, she is the only user who has reported this problem, so I would ...

I'm wondering if it is possible for an InfoPath form to select a specific row
or cell from a SQL database. It seems that I can populate a drop-down list
with a column from a database, but not a row.
Basically, I have a database with Employee stats for a call center. These
stats are things like number of calls per hour and ...

I don't believe this is possible, and here is why:
The Forms Server tries its best to do everything in the browser without sending data back to the server (aka postback). However, there are times when it has to be done. Any time it has been determined that a postback has to happen, Forms Server has to block the user from making any edits ...

InfoPath 2003
I am trying to ensure that if a user selects a checkbox he/she attaches an approval email doc within the form. If no approval is attached I want a validation error to result. Is there anyway to validate that an attachment exists? "Can not be blank" within the Attachment control will not work becuase I ...

Hi Navid,
Sorry, but we're not doing much with SharePoint workflows. I would try Microsoft.

2DS is my abbreviation for Secondary Data Source. Repeating tables bound to a 2DS are basically 2nd class citizens in InfoPath (unfortunately)--there are a lot of features turned off for them (as you've seen, inserting rows, filtering, etc).
Modifying the DOM of a 2DS is the same as working with your main DOM. If you are using the InfoPath ...

I am using an XmlFormView to host an InfoPath form. My problem is that I can't figure out how hydrate the form with an XML document in memory and then extract that information from the form after the user has made their changes. The objects' interfaces seem designed to load and save from/to URIs.
I don't ...
