Well, one thing you could do would be add conditional formatting to the section - if the count of the repeating section nodes is = 25, don't allow insert or delete - but that's kind of restrictive in that once you hit 25, you can't delete any rows either.

Set a rule on the field that is bound to the drop down. That rule should set the field that is bound to the multi-select to blank when the field that is bound to the drop down changes. As mentioned in my post above - that will leave you with additional blank fields in your multi-select - and I'm not sure how to handle for that w/out using code ...

So, the sample I re-attached here, right click the link, save it locally, right click the form, and select design to open in design mode, so you can preview.
I left your money order rules in place and set the form not to inlcude the repeating group by default. Then when the user inserts the repeating section, the rule on it fires, checking to see ...

So, if any instance of Toy Type is blank.... set the field to Check?
But the default of Toy Type is blank. So there is nothing to fire the rule.
That is, Toy Type has to change to have the rules fire. Just inserting a new section won't do it.
Does that make sense?

So - is it that your conditional formatting is failing / incorrect? Can you maybe attach a screenshot displaying what you are talking about?
If your conditional formatting is working correctly, is it possible your repeating section is inside a table cell where the row height is not set to Auto? And that is what is causing your blank space?

So, here's the thing to remember with qRules - whatever text you pass into the Command field is what the code is going to try to do. The Command field doesn't care if you use field values, or formulas or what-have-you, as long as it can make sense of the text. For testing purposes, you can set another field in your form to the same thing ...

Absolutely. You are probably currently just setting the value of the Command field like this:
SaveToSharePoint /url= .... etc
But instead, click the fx button and use a formula:
concat("SaveToSharePoint /url= ... etc /name=", pickYourFieldWithTheFieldPicker)
So the string passed to the Command field will include your field value for ...
-
So, your initial serial number you listed wasn't 0 padded - you will have some additional work to handle for that - you can use substring-after to get the number portion after "SN", and concat to add it back on - if you search the forum, there may be some formulas you can try for that 0 padding.

Can you create a data connection to your original query and then use the Edit SQL button to modify it?
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa202738(v=office.11).aspx has a bit of info on Access and IP - sorry, I really haven't tried much w/ Access & IP.

Not sure if I understand, but it sounds like you just want to set a field in your repeating table to default to another field in your main data source. Here's simple sample of that. To try the sample, save the file (from the link in the post header) locally (right click the link, save as). Then right click the saved file and select Design ...
