  • Re: Problem submitting empty field to database

Matt Faus:Hi Kris, You need to make sure that the xsi:nil='true' attribute is not present on the node that you are trying to submit as a blank string.  Where exactly do I need to check that?  I've looked through the files in the .xsn file and can't find that attribute anywhere.  Thanks, Kris

It actually gave me the option to ignore the errors, but it had another error if I took that option and only told me that InfoPath had encountered an error and couldn't continue.  After restarting Visual Studio, it allowed me to ignore the "error" and publish the form anyway.  It works in the browser now!  Yea!  ...

  • Re: Substring after a last special character

  • Up and running... or so I hope..we shall see... ? re: embedding a doc in a form

Can users attach or upload a document they have into a form?  We want them to be able to submit a current project charter if they have one directly into the form. Can this be done??  Thanks Paula

  • Re: Substring after a last special character

Are there always the same number of characters or the same number of "-"? If so you could use the substring length or nested substring-after functions. There are quite a few examples on the site here.
