Hi Thierry,
I'm not sure I understand this question. If you click on the function button of an expression box you should be able use the Data Source tree control to pick the field that you want to show in the expression box.
This is pretty simply, am I missing something?

I did the same thing, works beautifully. Older versjons doesnt get "corrupt" this way. A very good workaround.

Hi,
Lots of people ask me if it's possible to put the path of the xml (loaded in Infopath) in the an expression box without using code?
Did you know a way?
Thanks
Thierry

Hi Diana,
Yes you can use the old SharePoint library as a secondary data source for that information.
Why is the form corrupt? Have you tried to extract the xsn from SharePoint to see if you can recover that? Or is that where it is corrupt?

The only thing I can think of is the XPath expression, but you already said that you were 100% sure that it was/is correct.

If the form is opening in the browser, despite the library being set to open the form in the client, it means that your InfoPath client application is not being recognized by IE. IE has determined that InfoPath is not installed/registered on your PC. Have you deinstalled anything lately?

You can put your date picker inside a section and hide this section.
This solution is totally rough, but it works.

I have seen an issue with SharePoint 2007 where an a %25%20 got inserted into the template URL in all forms in a library instead of %20 (there was a space in the URL of the library and it should have been %20 only). This appeared to happen when files were moved into the libary and re-linking in SharePoint did not work properly.

Hi Jeff,
You can do this without code. One way I have done this within InfoPath is to concenate a unique name by using:
the user alias of the person submitting the form, data from one required field in the form, and then the now() function that returns the current date/time in ISO format. This should give you a unuqie name that ...
