Hi Matt,
thanks for your help. I installed it now from another computer with server 2003 and IIS 6. It seems the failure came from the IIS5.1 from my XP machine.
I got it installed now, but I have another failure : When the installation was finished, it tried to start the iis website that I created for qdabra : ...

Matt, You are right about the namespace. After my last post I decided to create a new datasource (from an infopath form) and then set this up as a secondary datasource. My code then did retrieve the correct count. I then compared the two XML files - and there was a very obvious difference. The root of my original file had a namespace, but none of ...

I was able to figure out how to do this via JScript, but I did run into one oddity, in that I had to set the namespace property in order for it to find the node in the data source. Don't flame me for my dumb question, but if you get the DOM object, shouldn't it already have the namespaces available when you use ...

Thanks a lot Ted, this definitely will be one of my options, but is there any way to have a predefinable string format setup? e.g. I need the form name like "JSA-001" or something based on a serial number, instead of a date/time based string?
