• Re: instead of a lot of sites what can I?

You need to explain exactly what you're trying to accomplish, then we can tell you the best way to do it. When you have a form library with a form template, then every time someone creates a new form, it generates an XML form in the library with ONLY the data from the instance of that form being filled out. You could have 90 ...

  • Re: RE: Unique ID / Sequential Numbering

Is that the syntax you used, or did you use the proper full syntax for substring-after? It would be: substring-after((now()), "T") That will pull the time off of every date/time stamp using the now() function. It takes all text after the T, which is between the date and time in the results.

  • Re: Infopath 2003 equivalent of infopath 2007 Username() function

Why do you need to do full trust + administratively approved? You can do the regular browser form with the userName() function and use the GetUserProfileByName web service all day long without having to do full trust or anything complicated unless you have some other unknown restriction.

  • Re: Disable Save Confirmation on Cancel

Yes, you do, but it's very simple and requires no code. In the end, you will have a much more useful "close" button that can do any number of things you want...or simply just close it without the save prompt. I just drag a button control onto the canvas, change the label to say "close," and put a rule behind it ...

  • Re: save form with concat filename, but don't create a new form...

*sigh* If I submit my form 5 milliseconds before the current second ends, then unless I submit the next one in 4 milliseconds, it will have a different time stamp. If I submit my form 3 centiseconds after the second starts, then I have 7 centseconds before the next time stamp. It's just simple math - nothing complicated. ...

Not necessarily, since they can do two within a second of each other and have different time stamps. You can say centisecond if you want - millisecond is just the more commonly-used term, though not entirely accurate.

  • Re: Disable Save Confirmation on Cancel

Does the button say cancel or close? I don't know of a cancel button anywhere. If you are referring to the built-in close button that shows up in the toolbar on a browser-enabled form, then all you have to do is go into your form options and deselect the close button on the Browser tab. That way, it won't show up. ...

Gayle, it's not date, but date/time. Today() does today's date, but now() does the time stamp down to the second. The same user would have to submit two forms in the same millisecond.

  • Re: After WorkFlow Form opens only as XML not in browser

Please tell us every single detail about the workflow, because two things you wrote caught my attention: Then i start the workflow which reads the data out of the form that i filled out - Does the workflow truly read from the form, or does it read from the library where the form is submitted? My workflow will run and do the code whcih I ...

  • Re: Update Infopath from from Sharepoint designer workflow?

You don't technically update the form but rather the columns in the form library that are based off the promoted properties from the form when you publish it. Once a property from the form is published, it is then available in your SPD workflows when connecting to that form library. You can then update the data in the library, and ...
