I am not aware of any way to query the current view of the user from SharePoint.
Ideally you could choose the opening view by user, what department they are a member of, or by some peice of data in the form, such as its state in your process or something.

I actually got this to work. The proper way to grab a value out of repeating table is: e.Source.selectSingleNode("reqID").text;
So the complete line that sets up the query is:
wsDOM.selectSingleNode("/dfs:myFields/dfs:queryFields/tns:queryReqs/tns:reqID").text = e.Source.selectSingleNode("reqID").text;

A document library . . . I chose for Infopath to create the document library and I added the applicable fields. I have successfuly done this in another environment, but I am relatively new to web based forms.

I have an infopath form accessed from a Sharepoint library. The library contains several different views. The infopath form also contains several different views.
Does anyone know if it's possible to open the infopath form and automatically switch to the view that corresponds to the library view that the form was opened from?

I've been starring at this for several days now.
I know that my problem is that I get a null value out of the repeating table. In my case it's the reqID I need from the repeating table. I query the rest of the details for a request from it's reqID.
