Can you give a bit more information on your solution and the components?
You are pulling data from a list.
The user is selecting multiple items
Then you want this saved back to a different list which is sorted and only contains the selected records?
Is this correct?

I have a similiar situation as below with an InfoPath 2003 form...when you said in an earlier post that... They can then modify any of the results. Submitting the form then saves the contents of dataFields only back to the database...does that work for 2003...I don't see where I can submit back to the Access database.

AFAIK, you can create document libraries based off an InfoPath form but everyone will have to have InfoPath installed to fill them out.
InfoPath Forms Server is only supported in MOSS.
