Microsoft Script Editor is a rather complex component (essentially it's VS light) and unfortunately, way too many things could go wrong... When you say "disabled ActiveX", do you mean an internal policy for Internet Explorer? I would not think that it would cause the problem but then again, it could (InfoPath uses IE's security ...

My Company has just provided me with a new PC with Infopath 2003 installed as part of the 2003 Office Suite.
The problem I now have is that whenever I try any programming function I recieve a Microsoft Script error dialogue box stating "Application Cannot Start" with an OK and Help button.

My first thought. If you are using a database, why not get the Proposal ID from there? Why try to pass it with the URL when it could be done with the DB? I would think there would be some way of linking this? If this is an automatic process haveing your form store the last created proposal ID would probably be ...

2/ I open the .xsn in winzip so i can see the composite files. When i try to open the manifest.xsf from here i get ...

I think you are seeing 1 of the limitation of the InfoPath Database form. The tables are in a database and you can only have one primary dataconnection which can Query and Submit and it creates the whole structure each insert.
To have greater flexibility InfoPath was designed to utilize web services, which give you the ...

Have you looked at passing the parameter into InfoPath as it starts?
I have used windows script and launched InfoPath forms from command line while passing variables. If you have the URL before hand, then it is just a matter of parsing it for the portion you want and then passing that into a field in your form. I think this may ...
