Hi Kully,
This is most likely a bug in your form's rule logic. Can you attach it so that we can investigate further?
Thanks!

Well, this data loss issue doesn't make a whole lot of sense. The SharePoint list forms' data exists in the list. Seems like you are saying that is not displaying correctly in the view. To me, that would seem like a bug.
We don't see that kind of bug when using standard InfoPath forms (i.e. not list forms, but regular forms). You can ...

Hi UmGorge2 and thanks for posting,
You can use Qdabra's DBXL Web service to map the data to a database without code in the form. Go to Qdabra dot com and click on Web services and look at DBXL solution. There's a free trial and it's inexpensive for you, plus we provide great support and have thousands of happy cutomers. :)

Hi AlexK,
The data representation of the number field will not contain commas. That's just formatting for display. Please make sure the data type is Whole Number or Decimal. Those will support comma formatting, but the data format will be what you expect. To verify, you can save your form as XML, open in Notepad (or similar) and search for ...

Hi again,
Our qRules common library plugin supports this. We provide qRules to help save time and the trial is free. We use the sales to pay for our time answering posts so we don't generally answer code posts if qRules commands support the scenario. Sorry, for the long-winded answer. qRules supports saving attachments to document libraries ...

Hi EMSCA and welcome,
Please don't go to C# in the form as it is most likely not required and will create additional maintenance cost for you or your company down-the-road.
Your image didn't come through - not sure why, but I am a bit in the dark on what you are trying to do.
My hunch is that you just need to change the design of your ...

Hi SeanPRyan,
You can manually change the XSL file for your view to display the "friendly value". To get at the XSL, just go to File>Publish>Export Source Files. Open up the view and search for the dropdown. The XSL file will accept xpath and you can customize what it shows in the dropdown. This should roundtrip when you use the ...

Hi Bob,
Maybe you don't need to use Filter Owssvr. Maybe you can just use the DBXL Query SharePoint web method. That might give you the data in a format that can be copied into the field.
Just wondering ....

Hi Tony,
Believe me, we feel your pain. I'm going to defer to Hilary and Jimmy and others for advice on the coding. What I can tell you is that things dramatically changed and there was no "good story" for developing code with InfoPath forms.
However, most forms don't need code, and those that do, can use our qRules plugin ...
