Hi
I am a little bit out of my depth here but I think I might be able to shed some light on some of the behaviours.
the "Permission Denied" on the XDocument.UI.ShowModalDialogue happens when the form is not in full trust, could this be down to Internet Explorer blocking the opening of a new page, full trust solves this. ...

Hi feesh
What I think you have in group terms is
Master
Detail
Repeat
Repeat1 Repeat 2
With this structure you say you can successfully copy across the detail section but not the repeating tables. I would presume this is because they are preceding-preceding sibling or indeed preceding-preceding-preceding sibling. I ...

It is a limit of the secondary data source that it cannot be used in this way. It is only by making the data source the primary data source that such a scenario could be achieved, unless you code the behaviour.

Hi
Worth having your supplier have a look at Forms Viewer from Qdabra would allow them to open the form in IE that way negating the need for the mail to display the message when they can open the attachment instead.
Hope this helps

Hi
IMHO the optional section is the least elegant of solutions just select your section and go into its properties and set that if field 'A' does not equal 'true' then hide. That would sort it. You cannot use expression boxes to do this as there is no way to reference them, use a field instead.
