Hi - I think this may be a duplicate of your other question?
If it were my form, I'd try just setting up the SharePoint Library submit - and add a test button that only submits to the library. I can't think of what could be wrong except an incorrect URL in the submit connection.

Hi - my guess would be that there is an error in the URL for your submit connection. Can you verify it is the correct URL to your form library?

I wasn't sure which fields in your form were which users? So I took sort of a swing at this - really, it is just a matter of having all your conditions in one clause - if I'm not the requester AND I'm not the dept. head AND I'm not the HR person, hide the control. This should at least give you the idea....

It has been two years, hasn't it! Time flies....
I'm hoping to get it in for the next release (4.2, coming June 15, 2012). There's another CopyTable change I'm hoping to implement this release as well.
Until then, I'm afraid you'll need to Insert and copy.... or, if you are comfortable with XSL, I'm turning into a ...

I took a look at your form files - I see you have two submit commands - the first submits to synopsis, the second to metrics.
Your synopsis submit has an id parameter in the command. That field is synopsisID. When the command executes, that field should get populated with the ID from the SharePoint list. So all you need to do is make sure that ...

Thanks for sharing your form - now I understand the issue.
The data connection to the list for Core Process returns the Category - and the SharePoint list data connection must be returning the display value for the Category (makes sense, now that I've seen the data connections).
You could do this with a more complex filter. For example, for ...

If you go to edit a view in your list, you'll see the ID. All list and library items in SharePoint have an ID - it is an auto-incrementing identity column and unique per list / library (i.e., in a given list, there will only be one item "1" and the id will never be re-used if the item is deleted).
Your item B above sounds not quite ...

I am having a really hard time understanding the issue. Your first drop down is bound to a main data source field, correct? And then your second dropdown has a filter that you only want to show values where a certain field in the secondary data source providing values to the control is equal to the main data source field bound to the first drop ...

Hi:
Yes, you'll want to also map the parent ID.
Here's a sample form that has a mapping from a child group to a parent group - it will be the orders mapping - you can export that from the resource files to take a look at it in a text editor.
Here's a demo video that walks through the sample form above - the webinars are more quick ...

Oh, thanks for letting us know - I'll see if I can do anything about that.
