Last » Re: Populating a repeating table in a repeating section Instead of adding a position parameter, I added one called xpathdest - like xpathsrc in the Insert command, it allows you to use filters - in this case, the xpathdest would be the full path to the destination row, and used when there are filters on the /tabledest param - like in the case of the initial poster, where his repeating table was inside ... You are right, that is what I meant - sorry about that. I guess what I'd do is add the created by field to the data connection (data connection 2, with the ID) and drag the data fields onto the form and preview to see what Created By looks like when returned by SharePoint to InfoPath. That will at least help you see what the information ... Posted to General (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 05-24-2012 Re: Error with lookups/pulling data from a list It catches all of us on occasion. Generally, you want to leave it at it's default setting - only change it to Always when you have an issue, like you did. The most common symptom of a postback issue is "works in preview - not in browser". Here's a good blog post on postback - and here's another with some additional ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 05-24-2012 Re: Need Allow Users Attach Only Permissable File Types Hmmm. If you are using a filler form (i.e., your form is not going to be used in the browser), you can restrict the file types on the file attachment control itself - that will be under properties. Since we can't set conditional formatting on a file control - I'd actually put it in a section, and then hide it. To hide it, I'd use ... You may need 4 conditions: Operation is not equal to 2 AND All instances of Organization are not equal to d OR Operation is not equal to 2 AND All instances of Organization are not equal to e I'm sort of dyslexic with this whole Not Equal And Hide thing - we wander off into triple negative land, which usually just makes my brain implode. ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 05-23-2012 Re: Error with lookups/pulling data from a list Hi, Karen - Generally, if something works in filler and not in browser, I suspect postback settings. So, the first thing I'd check is the postback on the drop down - right click and select properties. Then, under the browser tab, select Always for postback. The other thing, I suppose, could be that your data source query is failing in ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 05-23-2012 Re: Create Infopath 2010 Form Template using Visual Studio 2010 To the best of my knowledge, the answer is no - you need to use VSTA to add code to your IP 2010 form. Here's a blog post on this from the InfoPath team - the comments have a bit more info. Posted to General (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 05-23-2012 Re: Read Excel cell from document library. Dean's right - except in one specific set of circumstance - If you are using IP 2010 / ShP 2010 and if you have Excel Services set up for SharePoint, you could use an Excel REST connection to get the data back. Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 05-23-2012 Re: Help Adding Financial Functions to InfoPath (PV, NPV, Rate, etc.) Hi - I know this thread is a bit old, and you may have found a solution to your problem- but I wanted to let you know I just added 13 commands to qRules with the Financial methods - PV, NPV, Rate, IRR, etc. These will be part of qRules 4.2 which is being released around June 15, I believe. Let me know if you'd like to beta test these new ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 05-23-2012 Re: REST Connection to Excel in Infopath InfoPath leverages IE settings for some things, which is why I asked - unfortunately, that's the only time I've seen this error - with https and IE8. Your REST query isn't returning a huge amount of data, is it?
