Hopefully someone else will know of a good InfoPath replacement for web forms - I'm afraid I'm not terribly familiar with alternatives.

Rules run before code - so your rule that closes the form will execute prior to the code running. You probably need to close your form in your code on the button instead.

Hi - I think what you would want would be InfoPath Forms Services, but I believe that is not included with SharePoint standard. IPFS is what allows InfoPath forms to run in the browser instead of the desktop filler application. InfoPath Dev is just the name of this forum - the product itself is InfoPath (just so you know for future web searches).

Also - if this is version 4.1, try setting the useWebServices node in the Qdabra Rules data source to true: /QdabraRules/Form/@useWebServices

You'll download the file and then have to open it in design mode - IP forms HATE to be moved. So save the file locally, then right click it, and select Design. That opens it in design mode... And yes, new post for a question on another topic is usually what folks do here...

Hi - no, there is not, I'm afraid - but you can use an owssvr.dll data connection and specify a view in that. Syntax here, and more info here. Let me know if you need any syntax help.
