why dont you just create two views of the form. one view which your wife will use to fill the information another view which she will convert to pdf and sent to others.
-
i always prefer copy pasting the forms. that is easier and sure shot, and the easier one of course
-
i dont think there is any option like that, because every InfoPath form (*.xml ) needs template(*.xsn) to load. so if u just load the form (xml) it wont work.
Why dont u think of preventing the user from creating a new form. you should be able to do that easily using sharepoint designer by removing the buttons.

jigzy,
you cant publish five different templates to the same document library. you can load them as content type, and then activate them to this document library.
you seem to be a little bit confused between the templates(*.xsn) and forms(*.xml)
-
cross site and cross server data connections are supported by infopath client only.

hi,
if you mean that you want to remove the space introduced between two fields in the table (by the line that is hidden), i dont think that is possible
-
the field in which you are writing the formula to calculate the sum, just check the box that says update the value when the result of the formula is recalculated
-
Check the print settings in view properties.
-
if you are not using any code behind, then click remove code in the form options ->programming. that should let your form to load faster

hi,
you will have to set the height of the section to auto, that will resolve your problem,
do tell me if you still face the problem after this
