Thinking about this it seems that the old form is not updating itself with the changes made to template. Go into tools, form options and see if selecting "Automatically Upgrade" on the drop-down list provides you with the solution you require.

This is because TOM is defined as a client in your datasource. You would either have to filter out TOM or modify the datasource to achieve this.

I think the source of the error is that your form library defines its template as the form published to the llibrary. Each form is defined by its location unless it is fully trusted. Potentially I believe the only way around that problem would be to fully-trust the form but that presents numerous hurdles.

InfoPath could be a little more intutive. For example, I have a simple repeating table, but can't figure out how to set up validation so that (1) the user cannot remove all the rows, and (2) the user cannot insert a new row if the current row is empty.
