Good question, and I'm not sure. Is there any chance that when the SSL cert is installed the admins can also set up a redirect so that any calls to "http" are redirected to "https"? I think that is what people do a lot of the time when switching to SSL - at least that's what I did with this site when we switched it ...

The forum server is being a bit of a slow poke - I may try to restart it tonight or tomorrow. It may have eaten your edit. :-) If your data is coming from another list, what about just adding a column to that list with the date diff? I know SharePoint won't dynamically update that if calculated, but perhaps a scheduled workflow of some kind ...

It is surprisingly hard to do this. Here's a post with a sample approach: https://ankursharepoint.wordpress.com/2011/05/23/calculate-the-difference-between-two-date-picker-controls-in-infopath-using-rules-and-formulas-no-code/

See attached. We can't do this with hardcoded values, because we can't filter those. So I added an XML file for the data source for the dropdown.

I'm sorry I can't be more help without seeing the form. I really don't have any additional guesses. I'd suppose that the "create_pdf" service that was created on Oracle is handling this - but that is something I would guess is custom to your organization.
-
Really hard to guess, I'm afraid. I'm guessing the fields being set are in the "create_pdfs" connection? So that data is sent to the Oracle server? I mean - it could be that data connection that does something - are there any rules after the query to that data connection?
-
You might want to check the main data source - check if any fields have a default value set? I'm guessing there is code in the form that generates the PDF - do you have access to the source code? If not, can you attach the form in a reply under the options tab? If you do that I can give it a quick check.

Hi, Logan - glad I could be of help. I don't know of any way to add non-selectable text (i.e. a subheading sort of thing) to a multi-select I'm afraid - that would have been a nice workaround!
-
Ick. So I quickly can reproduce the issue you experience in a sample form. One thought I had was to turn the multi-select into a repeating table with a dropdown and conditional formatting to show / hide the correct items in the correct area, but look at this GIF, you'll see I ran into challenges with the "blank" option.

No need to also PM me, I try to check the forum regularly. See attached - just add a repeating table or section and then add the file attachment field inside the repeating group or table.
