 How does one attach a form to this thing?

Function query of company employee list auto-populates logged in user's name in a blank InfoPath text box - userName() - at form open. When I open the form, my name pops up in field. Next box is User Email. Function Value: EMail[UserName = UserName] pulls in an email address; but, it ain't my email address. Recommendations?

 My master data is in a SharePoint list. In Excel I can set formulas that calculate fields to tell me if the stored date (in this case Date of Last Inspection) is within a certain parameter (last 365 days). And if it is not, the Excel formula can calculate that fact and turn the 'Compliance Status' text to a 'Red' and/or ...
