Hi:
So, when the admin sets the status - is that control bound to a main data source field? Like, does the form have a "Status" field?
I'd think the form open rules would be based off a value stored in the form, not off data from a secondary data source....

Hi -
Installing SharePoint on a machine that isn't running a server OS is tricky, I think. And installing SharePoint for all your form users individually - well, it would probably make more sense to just upgrade their Office installs to include InfoPath.
I'm not sure what your budget is, and I don't have much knowledge on the cost ...

Can page breaks be inserted into sections? Then you'd be able to use conditional formatting on the sections. I don't actually work with printed forms much - I was just trying this in a form (to answer my own question about inserting in sections) and the Page Break control is always greyed out for me - Silly InfoPath.
I'm not at all ...

You use a rule or a default value to set the target field (in your main data source) to the same filtered value you are displaying. I had a little trouble following your explanation (sorry, I know you were trying to be complete!), but I think you are saying that your Unit Type list has a field named Unit Type, and you need to set a form field ...

Did you save a copy of your form before you walked through the data connections again? I would love to compare the manifest.xsf in the two of them and see if there is an obvious difference here....

Hi - this was from a webinar back in May.
Don't read too much into the word "Fun" in the slide. It was meant sarcastically, and applied only to the parent bullet above it: Enter parent item in its list, then go to the child list and enter the details
I see you have already left a comment about your Office 365 difficulties for the ...

Here's a walkthrough on using SubmitToSharePointList. One thing to note - Calendar lists are bit picky about their date time format - here's a blog post on that. The qRules forum is here, in case you get stuck.

Yeah, it can take a little while to get all the terms figured out - and since they are pretty different things, it makes a big difference in the suggestions you'll get.
So, the time off requests - is this repeating data in your form? Or is it flat (i.e., one request per form)?
If it is flat, there are several ways you can do this - you could ...
