ok... thank you adamrhaarding for your reply?
but i have a question and i wonder if anyone can help in that!!
i want to apply the way you provided me (i.e. i will have a field named VIEW, its value will be the name of the view i want to render). after that in OnLoad event in infopath form i will make the form loaded in the view specified in VIEW ...

Edit: I thought it took care of it...but it didn't...I was just careless with my testing.
Edit 2: Thanks Adam...I did get it to work. I had to put the current statement on the left side of the = sign like so:
xdXDocument:GetDOM("ProductList")/dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/d:ProductList/@MFG[current()/../my:PN = ...

Hi
It seems this is indeed incorrect and they do in fact work in browser forms.

Hi
Yep, should be. use the code in this web site http://enterprise-solutions.swits.net/infopath2007/retrieve-value-infopath-form-field-code.htm to achieve what you are after.
It references your field as to its location in the data structure and its name to pull the value back. It has both VB and c# code

Hi
Not tried this but can guess that the browser on the phone is not completely compatible with XML. It looks like it does not recognise the .xsl style sheet (I think that is what it is called) and hence picks up the other data put not the formatting.
Just a guess but looks likely
I hope this works

Hi
If I understand you correctly, just put a file attachment on the form and a submit button that submits the form to an email supplied by yourself or the person submitting the form.

Hi
This can be fairly simply achieved by making it conditional on a field value as to which view to open (as long as you are in InfoPath). So if WORKFLOW field = 1 then switch to view 1 if 2 to view 2 and so on.
I hope this helps

OK
Looking again
What I used to do in 2003 was set up the RHS of the expression to be '= current()/@PN' and that would work fine. As far as remember the /myPN didn't occur in the old object model in 2003 and only in 2007 hence my question.
Cheers

Understood about the calculated field. What I was trying to explain is that as the custom field does not fire into the data connection create a differenct data connection (web service) that does the concat and link that to your form as a new data connection, that would work fine.
I hope this helps

Hi
Welcome to the forums.
First thing, 15 minutes plus 35 minutes is 50 minutes plus one hour is 1h 50 but it doesn't matter either way I know what your problem is.
It is the fact that the fact that InfoPath adds only cannot natively convert hours and minutes into just minutes to calculate the time. The Blog details how to ...
