I wondered if anyone else has encountered this, if it's a known issue and if there is a workaround.
I have developed a browser enabled form that when submitted gets emailed to an address that is tied to a document library. So that users without permissions to the secure library can submit items but cannot read items in the library. If I open ...

Good afternoon,
I'm relatively new to Infopath and have a question regarding manifest.xsf and the supplementary XML files stored on a user's machine.
Can these files be encrypted? The supplementary files associated with my Infopath form contain company information (ex: the names that populate a customer drop down list ...

Hello InfoPath wizards, I thought that I was ok at InfoPath 2003, but it seems that I cannot figure out the easiest thing to do; add a new record to an access table. I can Query the table and bring up records in the table, but when I (is it submit? or click the New Record button) nothing happens. If I click submit then I get the ...

Hello Catharine,
no reason why it would not work... I have created your schema as you have specified it and my eval works:

eval(eval(AliasesGroup, 'concat(my:Aliases[. != ""], "; ")'), ...

Here is the procedure of the workflow:
A user fills in information for a ...

The first place to check is your query button. It is only switching views if it has a rule or code to do so. If you do not want this behavior - change it. Are you using the default query button? you may need to switch the button to rules and then use a query action so you can add other functionality.

Hi Clay, Thanks for the response.
The data is all from the same database. I have seperate views for each task as I don't want the user to be able to amend data once submitted. I do however want them to be able to add additional information at a later date if required.
My understanding is that when you run query, Infopath displays ...

Welcome to the forum.
Are you planning on using Web Services?
If you are going to use the default connectivity in InfoPath, unfortunately you have to build it from scratch around your SQL data. So you would have to start over with your form.
With Web Services you would be able to add dynamic queries and submit to SQL by just adding the data ...
