You sure you do not have a default set or something? They typically will start blank. Then you select from the drop down. The field should be blank initially unless you are setting it from somewhere or have a default. This can get corrupted and if you export your source files you can check the view.xsl. Hi Tom.
So you have repeating data per form you are trying to promote to SharePoint? If this is the case then yes that is not possible. All promoted data must be flat.

It sounds as though someone manually edited the schema file and added that restriction. I'm not aware of any place in the designer where you can create such a restriction and have it appear in the properties.
Extract your form files, edit the myschema.xsd file in notepad and see if there's a limit added to that attribute in there.

No. Namespace definitions don't chnage just because you make schema changes. This kind of change happens when you do something more significant... like "swap out" the schema, or create a new form template based on an old one. Just adding/renaming/removing schema elements/attributes will not change your namespace definition.

Hello, I've stumbled upon a BIG issue after publishing my InfoPath 2003 form to SharePoint: repeating InfoPath fields that have been merged cannot be filtered in SharePoint! Aside from creating more hidden fields in InfoPath, does anyone know of a way to get around this issue?
Thanks,
Tom

Probably one check is can you make a simple form with code successfully? To answer whether your environment / setup has an issue in general.
If you can then something is buggered specifically in your form. I would guess in the moving, renaming process. You would need to audit all of this.
