Hi Patrick,
Thanks for the detailed explanation. Before I continue, let me list the constraints that I have to work with:
I don't have access to IT resources, so unfortunately setting up a SQL server is not feasible. I'm pretty much stuck with a solution using InfoPath 2003 and SharePoint 2003.
I don't have a budget to purchase ...

I apologize but try as I may, I feel somewhat defeated by what I thought shoiuld be so simple. The databae is set correctly for a decimial point with 2 numbers following. If
my InfoPath form was not attached to a database, there woudl be no problem. I am able to format my fields using the format function ...

Hello, I have a form library that has a bunch of forms and one Archive subfolder in it. Currently the Archive folder is at the bottom of the list by default. I'm trying to configure the view such that the Archive folder is at the top by default. When I manually sort descending by Type (the icon column), I was able to get the folder to show at ...

Changing Main to 500 fixed my problem

In my InfoPath 2003 form I have two repeating controls:
A 'Books' field that uses a bulleted list control to allow users to list books they own.
A 'Genres' drop-down list in a repeating section that allows users to select one or more genres.
I have a data connection to ...

Thanks, Catharine. It is unfortunate but it looks like you're banging your head against InfoPath xpath limitations.
You see, xdMath:Eval(xdMath:Eval(../my:Skill,'concat(my:Skill_Name[. !=""], ";")'), "..") does not work. The reason for that is simple:
The inner eval selects ALL my:Skill nodes and does ...

How would I set a default? Even if I wanted to do that?
I deleted the data connection and recreated it and updated the ODC connection
Still same issue, even if binding on a different field
I also tried creating a brand new form and added a drop down to the same database and same condition.
I am lost.
Here is the text form the ...
