I suggested the email from the form data connection since that should be a bit more straightforward but both are generated from the server. You should be able to create a typical email submit and it will use it on the server with a few limitations. no additional configurations.
I do not think you can get an attachment since it is browser based ...

Typically I store the status in the form as well. Or maybe you could have it check the current status via a data connection. Then you can use conditional formating to hide the approver if the status warrants.
Do you identify the user in the form when it is opened? Via Sharepoint or Active Directory? That is another thing I usually ...

I would guess the issues stem from the workflow. The form is closed would be something from that.
Have you tried testing without the workflow?
You might create a test form with an email submit and verify. Does your email submit occur before or after the SharePoint submit?

Hi Ty.
You are on the right track. Just a syntax issue it looks like.
concat(field1,”;”,field2, ";", "user@mysite.com", ";" "user2@mysite.com")
You need you parenthesis right and treat the static emails as text and make sure you concate the ";" colons in to.

Hey John.
I am currently doing a browser based workflow. It is simple, which it sounds yours is, so it is being done within the form. To enable email submit in a browser form you need to configure mail on Sharepoint, since the mail is generated from the server.

Hi Susanne.
First you need to identify your form user and what group they belong to. You can do this via SharePoint 2007 or I mostly use an Active Directory Web Service.
Then you can either set your rules per field, or in InfoPath 2007, you can set a whole view read-only. You can make copies of your views and then route ...

With our webservices, we have added the ability to resubmit any or all submitted forms, obviously with Sharepoint that is not available. I am not aware of any other tools out there. It is a problem that occurs unfortunately where the form is updated or a new requirement is added.

Hey Tal.
You can actually install a custom ActiveX control for viewing PDF files within your form. Go to custom controls and it should be in the list to add if you have adobe installed on the PC.
I believe then you could keep the link in your form and then have the pdf displayed from your SharePoint site.
You could use conditional ...

I was not sure if you already had forms or not but you could enter an initial form with 8000 or add an additional rule to your form template that says if less than 8000 set to 8000.

I would but a rule on field B
Three rules
One with Condition one - Set field A
One with Condition two - Set field A
Third - Set Field A
On the first two check the box at the bottom which says to stop processing rules if true.
