well it seems u r doing the right thing, but somewhere the value of "disableBtns" gets reset somewhere. check the logic inspector to see where the value of "disableBtns" gets reset. That should help you.
-
you should be able to do all this with a little bit of coding, through the infopath forms itself.
-
this is possible, you will need to code for that. something similar to below
this is for printingMicrosoft.Office.Interop.InfoPath.Application moipApp = null;
moipApp = new Microsoft.Office.Interop.InfoPath.Application();
XDocument docume = ...
-
infopath app can open broswer enabled forms. so there must be some other thing that is going wrong. just debug your code and see what is going wrong
-
why do you need printing a form, or sending via email, you can just let the end users see the read only view of the infopath form.
and for submiting, just submit the form to the document library and notify the next department or user of the progress.
-
i would say the best way to trouble shoot this, is to log on as somebody else on his machine, and see if the forms open using that account. that should give you a good idea what is going wrong.
personally i dont think IE8 should be causing problems. because i never faced such kind of problems. Infopath is designed to work with any browser
-
i would suggest the best option would be to use your custom submit buttom and use conditional formatting on that. say when you submit the form first time, set the value of a field(say submit_check) to some value (say true).
and on the button use conditional formatting
(submit_check is equal to true)
hide the button
that should work for you
-
this if infopath feature and nothing to do with your cannot be blank validations. even if you close a form at that time also it asks to save/discard changes.
i dont think this can be changed. i would like to see the solution if anyone comes with one
-
hi vishal,
instead of making the field cannot be blank, enforce this condition throught data validations.
that should solve your problem. the data validations should be like
file1 notnull and
admincheck not true
-
you can prevent page from refreshing when the dropdown value changes.
go to the properties of the dropdown. move to the browser forms
and select never.
this will prevent the form from getting refreshed and that should resolve your problem
