How are you submitting to the database and why does it reset after you submit? typically on a submit the values would not be changed.
Is this formula a default? You may have better luck using a rule on the drop down field to set the values.
Where do you pick the second crew values? A screen shot might help or if you want to ...

Hey Kon.
What is ID_1 is it a unique for each form or a unique for records within the form?
Can you give an example?
If it is just a numeric then you should be able to increment it but the issue is always maintaining uniqueness with multiple form users.

I said I wanted to publish it to a web server and entered the URL where the file would be stored. Go to Greg's blog and search for "filter cascading dropdowns" or "current()" and you should find some stuff. If you have thousands of rows in ...

Hi Gicio,
Can you explain what you are doing? Are you saving the XML forms to MOSS/SharePoint or to a separate database? MOSS supports search and that is completely independent of browser-based forms, so it should work fine. Did you configure search for the site? Did you configure search for the form library? What did you actually do? Are you ...
