  • Re: Referring to parent object in JSCript

    Thinking on this some more, I suppose I could do this: //oTest.oChild function displayVal(){            XDocument.UI.Alert(this.val1); } function oChild(oTest){ //oChild object definition           this.displayVal = ...

  • Referring to parent object in JSCript

    Is there a way in JScript to refer to the current object's parent within a method of that object without explicitly passing the parent object to that method?  For instance: if I am in a method of an object, I can refer to the current object using the this keyword.  What I would like to do is use something along the lines of ...

  • disable submit on close?

     I've setup my form to show a submit button only when specific conditions apply.  I've disabled the submit button from the toolbar.   However, when users close the form using the X on the form, Infopath asks them if they want to submit the form anyway.  Can this be stopped?   Thanks!

  • Re: Infopath and New Users

    Hi Anthony. I think both of these scenarios are doable and not super complex. If you want to send me an email we could discuss your data sources and the required workflow.

  • Re: InfoPath and SQL Database (beginner)

    Welcome Stefan. I think you would want just one form but with two views within it. One for the search and one for the lookup detail result. I would suggest you look at using web services to interact with your SQL data, if this will be an enterprise solution. If you want to send me an email I can show you a couple examples of similar forms.

  • Re: Creating InfoPath Forms Programmatically

    InfoPath Designer does not have a public object model so the short answer would be "no". The longer answer is that you can most likely use the Microsoft Active Accessibility APIs to your own poor-man's automation but this would be cumbersome and time-consuming at best. I assume that to generate InfoPath form you will start by ...

  • Problem in using Code Signing Certificate

    Hi, I have an issue in using the certificate created by Enterprise CA. I have some infopath forms that contains managed code behind them. In order to publish them to sharepoint server with 'Full Trust' as security level, we have created a Code Signing Certificate using Certification Server of Windows server 2003.  I have ...
