You can send the "view" via email in InfoPath 2007. However if they do not have InfoPath they will not be able to really view the form or update the data.
You can attach the XML but there is not much they can do with it in the raw state.
Another option is InfoPath form services so people without InfoPath can view the form in a browser.

I have a form already setup to to submit to a sharepoint library location and it works with no problem.
Within the form are check box options. I want to setup a submit option for one of the check boxes to email a plain text or embeded version of the form over outlook. This is necessary because the recipient doesn't ...

Hi and welcome to the forum.
You probably need to give me a bit more details.
What are you starting with and what do you want to end up with?
You want to fill out a web form and then submit it via email to others?
Do you need to store this data in a database? Do you need to pull dat from a database?
You can have InfoPath XML ...

I know nothing about coding in Infopath. Is there a way I can create an HTML form submission and convert it to something Infopath can use? All I really want to do is submit the form fields either in plain text or embedded within outlook. With no coding skills, not sure how I can accomplish this.

Do you need a method for auto asigning numbers? Which are unique and sequential. Having the user create one or pull from a common list is usually problematic.
I could show you a couple different possibilities. Email me if you are interested.

WOW. That's weird. Thanks to Clay's post I revisited the OnLoad method, deleted it, and re-wrote the code. This fixed the issue.
Thanks AGAIN Clay!
Looks like the method signature was incorrect:
It changed from:
[InfoPathEventHandler(EventType = InfoPathEventType.OnLoad)]public void OnLoad(DocReturnEvent e) ...

Clay,
Thanks for the reply. For some reason, when I place this code in the OnLoad event, it doesn't run, that's why it's in the _Startup to begin with. JobNumber is a text field entered, but it is also the filename.Yes, it does need to be unique and part of the validation is to eliminate duplicate job numbers in forms started by two ...

I believe you would want to put your code in Onload event. that is the typical place.
On Startup there has not been a form loaded yet and that is why you can not make references.
How are you assigning JobNumber? Does it come from a database? does it need to be unique?

I added code to the _Startup method to aid in form validation on submit. Basically we want to see if a field has been changed since the form was loaded. If so we preform custom validation based on the original/new value.
Here is my startup code:public void _Startup(Application app, XDocument doc)
{
this.thisXDocument = ...
