• Re: ERROR on opening form

You are confusing the _Startup method with the OnLoad method. They are not the same. You cannot write InfoPath code in the _Startup method. Please add the OnLoad event handler and move your code into there.

  • Re: Limit Drop Down List Selection

What you are trying to do is called a Cascading List. You can find more information about them in the Blog postings here: http://www.infopathdev.com/search/SearchResults.aspx?q=cascading But you are also trying to restrict options based on a different row. That will require using the preceding-sibling:: and/or following-sibling:: axes, which you ...

  • Re: Disable File Save Functionality in InfoPath

Hmm. I may be mistaken, but I was under the impression that once you disable Save and Save As, that you will no longer be asked about saving. If you are using code, then after the submit, you can set the .Dirty flag to false, which tells the form that there's been no changes. This is not available in web forms though.

  • Re: Office Detritus in XML

InfoPath should not store invalid XML characters in rich text fields. . . Try copying the XML file down directly from SharePoint and then viewing it in IE. It's possible the method you use to get the file is introducing an issue (though it seems unlikely). You error says "Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet." Are you ...

  • Re: populating listbox control using maindata source

Just one last reminder that once you remove that blank option from the XSL, any change you make in the designer to that drop-down control will cause the XSL to be regenerated WITH the blank option, and you will need to manually remove it again. It can be a pain to do, so you might want to wait until you are close to finalized before doing these ...

  • Re: Setting non-text values using selectSingleNode

You are close... change the space character to a "T" character: "2008-04-22T08:01:00". Please keep in mind that these are not InfoPath-specific standards, they are general XML standards. You can ask here, but you can also find all this information in XML documentation and specs.

  • Re: Error occured Accessing Data Source Error ID 5566

It doesn't seem likely that SP1 would have caused this unless there was problems during the installation. Please check your system logs to see if there were any problems with the installation. You might try reapplying SP1.

  • Re: How to access MainDataSource Programmatically

You don't when using "C# (InfoPath 2003 Compatible)". You need to use "C#" and not "C# (InfoPath 2003 Compatible)". They are very different programming models. The one you have currently selected knows nothing about "MainDataSource".
