You are using:
Insert /parent=/my:myFields/my:grpReplacement/my:grpReplacementIssue/my:Replacement /child=my:Replacement
Try this instead:
Insert /parent=/my:myFields/my:grpReplacement/my:grpReplacementIssue /child=my:Replacement

You are setting the rule on group4?

I'm not sure if you are saying you want a dialog box message? Or saying you don't? So I looked at the sample form again, it doesn't contain one, so I am guessing you do want one? At any rate, that's what I added to this sample with a rule on field1.

Can you attach your template to a reply? Under the Options tab....

You'll want to set the rule to set ItemNo1 on the group4 group, so it executes when the new node is inserted.
You won't need to use set value, just "Set a field's value", select ItemNo1. Set the value to a formula that uses preceding-sibling to get the correct instance of ItemNo - ...

That looks right - what error are you getting in the Qdabra Rules Error node? Did you copy the XPath from the data source task pane to make sure everything is spelled correctly?

Hi- the issue is that when a user selects an item in a multiselect, a new instance of a repeating node is added and its value is set. When the item is deselected, the instance is removed. Since InfoPath doesn't offer any out of the box rule based method to insert or delete repeating nodes, the multiselect is tricky.

I disabled your rules on field A and field B. I used the following formula as a default for "earned" - since I am not terribly math-y, it most likely has more parenthesis than it needs. :)
(((A >= passing) * courseCredits) / 2) + (((B >= passing) * courseCredits) / 2)
Basically, the first boolean condition evaluates to one or ...

Hi - are you saying that your repeating table contains 100 rows and you want to instead just count the rows that are displayed in the form (you've filtered to show only 10, for example)? I'm afraid your count will have to include the filters / XPath you are using for display - I don't know of any shortcut for that, I'm afraid.

I wonder if you may need to add a custom workflow to do this.
