Hi Clay
Thanks for that.
I'm afaid what you have said as gone over my head. Do you know of any good online tutuorials about web services and InfoPath?

Contacting the control's authors, or at least someone who knows their way around it was the whole point of this thread, seeing as how MS Infopath 2007 ships with it, and the InfoPath Senior Development Lead, one Scott Roberts, provides some in-depth info on its usage. Unfortunately, its entry in the MSDN doesn't provide the level of detail ...

Hi Clay,
unfortunately on multiple computers / users, there is no code in the form and all systems are updated to the last service pack / patch.
The host system is SBS2003 Premium R2 sp2 with sharepoint services 3.0 sp1 and the clients are Windows XP Pro sp2 / Office 2007 Enterprise sp1
Thanks for your collaboration

string transformResults = oXml.transformNode(oXsl);

Hi Clay,
Thanks for the information. I am new to Infopath and I am struggling a bit. In the past I have done VBA and VB coding, I thought Infopath will be similar. Lots have changed. I took your suggestion and I have created two files. One for collecting the survey from the users around the state and then second for ...

I'm glad to hear you got it working... but seriously, I'd look at getting that code out of the _Startup method if at all possible. It might work now, but cause you future headaches down the road. If you look back at your original error message you see:
System.InvalidOperationException
The _Startup or _Shutdown method in this form's ...

This can be pretty complicated. It's not an easy task. But some creative use of pattern matching might give you what you want. You will need to research Regular Expressions to understand how to write your pattern. Good luck!
