I've read that it is not possible to use rules in web forms. I currently use them to change the view depending on who is logged in (this is very useful functionality). I would like to know if there is a way to do this in the web and if not are there plans to allow rules in web forms in future releases?

Using 2003.  I'm trying to show a value in one text field based on a selection in another field.  Field 28 is the client name, when selected I want to show the corresponding clients ID.  I'm new to InfoPath (today).  All help is greatly appreciated.  

Certainly. You can add conditional formatting on the image control and set a condition. Username does not equal hidden field or whatever. Then have it disable the control if this is true.

A few more things i have noticed is that the same thing is happening on quite a few different forms to the same users.  If i go to the relink section in SharePoint there is nothing in the template link section on some forms submitted by certain users. However these forms still work 100% ...

I am still lost, I dont have 2007 so I can't copy the Xpath, and I am unsure exactly how to do the other stuff, I have attempted but cant find anything resembling  //my:myfields/ etc, could you explain how I check the main data source and how to extract the source files, sorry about needing to be spoon fed here.   Jon Smith
