• Re: Forms Viewer Install

Hi Again. You can uninstall Qdabra Database Accelerator and then reinstall with that option selected. None of your data will be lost as your database is retained. The account is the service account you would like it to run under. So this could be a special designated account or existing one. Forms opened via forms viewer would run under this ...

Do you have SharePoint? Are you using Script or managed code in Visual Studio?

  • Re: Creating Outlook Tasks from InfoPath Forms

You would need an installabel, full trust form which had the code to create a task assignment. A better solution or work around might be just to email notify the editor, via the built in InfoPath submit, and then come up with a quick process for converting it to a new task within Outlook, maybe with a rule or something.

  • Re: Visual Basic 2008

If you have code that goes outside of InfoPath is requires full trust and creating an installable form. the Alert() function, in the InfoPath model, should do what you want and will not break trust.

  • Re: Sharepoint list....

Hey Kon. Is this some type of interface? Where you are wanting to bulk update your data on a regular basis? I have not tried this but probably the basic SP interface will not allow multiple (bulk) inserts. What is driving your decision to move away from accessing the data from a table directly to SP instead?

  • Re: Repeat Extensible Section

Move the button outside the repeating section. You may need to add a wrapper section which doe snot repeat to contain the buttons for formatting.

  • Re: Populate Read-Only Textbox w/ AutoNumber on button click

Typically you would generate this on submit to SQL or Access. Or create a list and have a flag field to mark it taken. Are you identifying each user? You could link them to the ID they just chose or possibly with a time stamp. The big issue is uniqueness and when multiple forms are open making sure they don't get duped. One issue with ...

  • Re: Query a secondary db via code

Web Services are always the best practice from a delivery standpoint and maintenance since they are not coded into the solution. Here is another post though if you have to go down that road. http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/t/6765.aspx

  • Re: Recommendation on right tool for job-Report that needs to be editable

I think InfoPath would be a good solution. You could create the template pretty quickly. You definetly can merge these seperate data elements and put them into a consistent (7 page) document. You can also abstract it so that the user can verify or input the required elements as easily as possible and then they can switch to the print view that ...

  • Re: Very slow form load

Hi Gary. Welcome to the forum. What are your results with a very simple test form? One or two views. I would look at ways to consolidate your views such as using conditional formating to just hide certain sections on similar views. I am guessing your schema is also fairly complex. From an architecture standpoint, to move this to a ...
