Hi - Well, first off, when you fill out an InfoPath form, you can save data entered into the main data source - as an XML file. Here is a link to some Office Online information that may help you. Without knowing anything about your "system" mentioned above, I can't speak to the ability to access its web services.

Hi - what are you talking about? The thread is about using the built in InfoPath List data connections, not the SharePoint web services. I don't understand what "Flex 2" or "Flex 3" have to do with the topic at hand - can you elaborate?

Hi, I'm attaching a sample. I set field2 as a decimal and added a custom validation rule to it. Save the file locally, right click and select Design to open in design mode. From there you can preview.

I'm wondering if it isn't updating in the InfoPath cache for some reason. Does this happen whether you are opening existing XML or creating a new form? What version of IP are you using?

Hi - when you say a link to the form, do you mean a link someplace other than the library? Is this 2010 or 2007? Try adding noredirect=true to your link - does that help at all?

Sorry, I don't understand. You want to hide the different drive fields in the Drive Size section based on certain values? Looking at your conditions, I'd guess you need to hide the fields if Other is not equal to true. Then you'll need to add some additional conditions for hiding - so, if Other is true, you'll still want to hide ...
