  • Re: Questions: If/then in default value and AD username lookup

Hi:  I don't quite understand question 2, but have a suggestion for question 1. I have used 'method 2' from this post with success for a conditional default value for a field: http://blogs.msdn.com/infopath/archive/2006/11/27/conditional-default-values.aspx The basic structure of the formula they suggest looks like ...

  • Questions: If/then in default value and AD username lookup

Hi... newbie here of course; I have two questions. I don't have very much programming experience so would prefer not to go that direction if possible. 1.) How can I fill in the default value of a text field using an if/then sort of statement? I searched but the only response I found talked about using the OR | but didn't ...

  • Re: InfoPath - Calling Stored Procedure with parameters from C#

Hello: Here is a link to a code sample that creates a Sql connection in code: http://www.sharepointblogs.com/ssa/archive/2006/01/03/populating-infopath-fields-with-sql-data-using-managed-code.aspx Where this code has the command "select * from tblUser" you could easily replace with "execute sp"  etc. If you want to ...

  • Passing QueryString to Browser-based InfoPath Form

OK, this probably seems very naive, but...   I have a table with a sequential key.  I want to be able to pass to a browser-based InfoPath form the record ID (which is the sequential key) via ASP.NET, and have InfoPath (browser-based) open that record.   It seems ridiculously simple, but I can't figure out how to do ...

  • Re: Error on form load

I ran with your idea just from a different location and I discovered that the dll associated with my signature capture control was corrupted.  I re-installed the dll(s) and now she is working just fine.  Thanks for the idea!!   Bill

Hi, Bill: Are you able to open the form in design mode? A control that is unbound or has another problem may be easier to find that way....

  • Error on form load

Last week we had one of our servers crash.  Since the crash, I receive the following error when attempting to open an xsn on a shared network drive:  InfoPath cannot create a new, blank form.  One or more required controls in this form cannot be created. Can someone please point me in the direction to resolving this error?  ...

  • Re: Assigning Sequential Form Number

Thanks.  That seems to work fine.  Since you mentioned the thing about the database, why would it be better to have the database handle the form assignment?  The database is simply an infopath forms library, so I'm not sure if I can set it up on the database end.  I have the form querying the database on submission instead ...
