Thanks for posting your workaround. Just as a note - the displayed value on your form may not be the actual value of the field - I usually check the XML in a text editor if I am unsure of a field's actual value.

Hi - for your code, look into XPathNodeIterator. You can also do this with qRules, if you'd rather not write code, or this blog post may help you do this without code.

I don't mean to be oversimplifying. I guess it seems to me that if your IP data is a decimal (formatted as currency) and submits to a currency column in SharePoint....
Wait - I think I get what you are saying now - the issue is from SharePoint to Word? And you are wondering if we have a qRules command that could take a number and format it as ...

Validation rules are specific to the field - not the view. Thus, you may need a way to know when field 2 is required and add custom validation to the field that takes that into account. You can track view switches with qRules - not sure if you will know what view your user will be in? Or do they click a button or something to get to the second ...

It shouldn't be a problem to write your decimal to a string type in SharePoint - are you having an issue with this? If so, can you please provide some details on the error?
-
Whoo hoo - we'll get you a new build via email.

In InfoPath, you could right click the node in the data source task pane and use Copy XPath to get the full path.

That doesn't appear to be the full XPath - isn't the root "debtNote"? Is "helperFields" a child of "debtNote"?
/id=/my:debtNote/my:helperFields/my:listID

When you created the mapping - did you select the repeating group option? If not, use the full XPath to the field. If so, use the relative XPath from the repeating group. Attach your mapping XML if you'd like me to take a look.
