I'm sorry, I've read this several times and am having a hard time understanding the question. Maybe you could attach some screenshots under the Options tab in a reply to help describe this?

Well - not really. I mean, you can publish to a network location, it doesn't have to be on SharePoint. I think if the form has no data connections at all, and the security level is set to restricted you can just give people the template.... but then what happens if you make a change? How do you make sure everyone has the latest template?

That is tricky. I think you may be able to modify the view files for this (save the form as source files, and look at the view files in a text editor) but I am not sure if InfoPath Forms Services (browser) will respect your manual changes. Never hurts to try tho. :) Save a backup copy of your form before you start modifying from the source files.

Hi Hilary,
I have the same problem here and I'm glad if you can help me with this.

You may need to use rules instead of defaults to stabilize this - setting the values in form load rules if a new form, and then resetting the values when the benefit cost ...

I've done some searching on the forum and cannot find anything regarding the issue I have. I am hoping someone could assist me. I am fairly new to InfoPath and we use it mainly as a fill and print form, not as a form published on a Sharepoint site.
As part of our form, I have created a table for costs per month for various benefits (a ...

Have you seen this? https://alecpojidaev.wordpress.com/2008/12/30/infopath-codeless-programming-walkthrough-2/
There are some sample forms that apparently do this. :)

Well. Let's see if this works? I modified the default on the ID field to (hopefully) only include items that match on department OR have Default for department... Again, working totally blind here, so this could be all kinds of wrong. :)

I'm going to guess this issue has to do with decimal places. Here's what I'd do - I'd put the query & data fields for the list on the form, temporarily. And I'd add a button that queries the list. Then you can preview the form, and experiment with that you need to enter to get back the right data. You may need to query the ...
