• Re: Form grinds to a halt after database look-up

I can't be sure, but it sounds like the form is running slowly because it is weeding through the entire 5000 row table in your secondary DOM when the rule is run. You may want to consider instead running an SQL query to get the employee you want, and not store the whole table in your secondary DOM. For examples of how to ...

  • Re: Querying secondary data connection

Saving a form from InfoPath only saves the data that is in the main data source. Since your query results are in a secondary data source, they naturally would not be saved with the form, so if you want to save the data, you will need a way of copying it over to your main data source. I can think of two ways to accomplish this. ...

  • Re: Spellnumber in InfoPath

I am not aware of such a function in InfoPath, but I've thrown together this C# that can convert any number from -10^16 - 1 to 10^16 - 1 into words. Just pass the number into SpellNum and it will return the number in words as a string: http://www.infopathdev.com/blogs/jimmy/misc/SpellNum.txt

Thank you Jimmy, the first link worked wonderfully. Now is there any way I can have that query actually save when the form is saved? I notice it disappears whenever I open the saved document.

  • Email data collection and submission control

Dear All, I am trying to establish a suitable form for the collection of data via email, frustratingly this is remarkably easy to do within Access which will automatically create a form for me, but over which I don't seem to be able to exercise any design or content control, but if I try and create said form in infopath, the data query ...

  • Spellnumber in InfoPath

Hello, Does anyone know if there is any way to convert a number to words within InfoPath 2003? I am transferring a form that is currently in Excel into InfoPath that has 2 fields - an "amount" field and an "amount in words" field. In Excel I've utilized "spellnumber" code I found on ...
