Close view means, do you want to switch to other view.
As of my knowledge there is no way to close one single view. Because form will open in one view.

I have a simple form (IP 2003) connected to an Access 2003 DB. This form was working fine until I installed IE7. The form then would not submit correctly, with the following error-
InfoPath cannot submit the form.
An error occurred while the form was being submitted.
InfoPath cannot connect to the data source.

Hi,
If you are using infopath2007, then you have one option to open the form as Webpage.
Go to the Tools -->Form Options
Select "Compatability" tab.
Select "Design a form template that can be opened in browser or infopath" chack box
Make sure you need to publish this form to Sharepoint 2007.

Hi,
Form will be opened in Webpage even that machine have Infopath2007 installed, If you check the "Display as a Web pag" option in the Advanced proprties in the form Library.
I think your issue is not related ...
