Hello,
You can add one new field to you schema. For every time submitting or save the form you have to update that newly added field value by one. You can use this field as promoted list in form and this value will be displayed in SharePoint.

We can get the default node values while importing the DOM.
1. In your case repeating section node contains more than one then we have to replace with parent node in main DOM parent node. Sample of schema structure,
