Thanks for the reply.  I just tried the nvarchar(MAX) and InfoPath still disables the submit feature of my main data connection.  InfoPath stills sees it as a long data type.  Is there something else that I was supposed to set up?  I redid the data connection but still no luck.  How did you get the connection to retrieve ...

This problem is solved for me now. I had to change the following: 1) My drop down list contained way too many values. I reduced from 550 to 453 values. 2) Some of the values in my drop down had special characters, in my case it was the '&' character. I removed those. I suggest you stick with alphanumeric. Hello, We can add more than one web services in InfoPath 2003 and 2007. We can take more than one web service connection as receive. In your requirement header is from one web service and detail is from other web service it means you have add the conditional formatting or filter condition for details table data.
