• Re: Error caused by too much date

I believe you could resolve this by setting up a connection to GetListItems to query only the relevant data, but it's a bit tricky from the looks of it. Perhaps this blog post would help: http://www.infopathdev.com/blogs/agni/archive/2006/05/15/Query-for-Items-in-SharePoint-Form-Library-Using-GetListItems-Web-Method.aspx

  • Same section in multiple views?

I have a Section with some controls and tables in it that I use in multiple views. Right now I have to design it in each view and when I change one, need to make sure the exact changes are made elsewhere. This is simple enough by just copying and pasting, but is there a way to design a section in one view and actually reference it from ...

  • Re: thisxdocument error

Thank you, but all that code does is assign the value "/dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/d:Buyers/d:WorkOrders/@ALCOUN " to that field. I'm pretty sure that if all you want to do is assign the user name to that field you can use a rule the way I described and skip using code altogether.

  • Re: thisxdocument error

Nevermind. I fixed it. I set this: xnUserName.SetValue(currentUser); to this: xnUserName.SetValue("/dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/d:Buyers/d:WorkOrders/@ALCOUN "); and it worked fine. Thanks a bunch for the help!

  • Re: thisxdocument error

Sorry to be dense....if my code is like this: XPathNavigator xn = this.MainDataSource.CreateNavigator(); XPathNavigator xnUserName = xn.SelectSingleNode("/dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/d:Buyers/d:WorkOrders/@ALCOUN", this.NamespaceManager); xnUserName.SetValue(currentUser); I get build errors: the name 'CurrentUser' does not ...

  • Submitting a form to SharePoint library creates two files with different file names

I have made three forms in InfoPath to use in SharePoint, all of them with the same rules and data connections. Two of them work just fine, but I am having trouble when submitting my form for Travel Expences, which is the largest and most complex of them. Background: My form automatically creates a filename when it is submitted the ...
