Using SQL Profiler I noticed that the same query is sent twice to SQL Server - the first time a "where 1 = 0" clause is added. Obviously that won't return any rows, but any idea why it does this? Posted to General (Forum) by Graeme on 12-19-2008 Re: Tips for moving between development and production databases? Ah, but I'm talking about the data retrieval connection strings for filling data into list boxes etc. when the form is opened. Sharepoint is not in the picture. Posted to Data Connections (Forum) by Graeme on 10-20-2008 Re: Tips for moving between development and production databases? Not sure what you mean here. The connection string is stored in the xsn file for each control. How do I replace them all by calling an external file? Can you give an example please? Posted to Data Connections (Forum) by Graeme on 10-20-2008 Tips for moving between development and production databases? The only way I have seen so far is to edit the xml in manifest.xsf and replace the server name on all connection strings with the name of the production server before publishing. Surely there is a less stoneage way? Posted to Data Connections (Forum) by Graeme on 10-16-2008 Re: How to change default print orientation in print view I have a similar issue but your link doesn't really answer the posters question. I think the question is how to change the orientation at run time, not by editing the xsf file in notepad... I would like to be able to print one page within a form view as landscape and all the others as portrait. Any takers? Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by Graeme on 10-16-2008 Re: Text won't break over a page I'm shocked and stunned. If the content of a text box is longer than will fit on a page it will break just fine and continue on the next page. Why the heck they decided to start the printing on a brand new page is beyond me. If I wanted a page break before by text box I would enter it manually. Posted to General (Forum) by Graeme on 10-09-2008 Why doesn't print view use the same fonts as edit view? Since the user can change fonts in rich text boxes in edit view I want these to be reflected in the print view, yet I see this is controlled by the Text Settings tab of the View Properties dialog, under File - Page Setup. Is there no option to simply take over the formatting from the edit view? Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by Graeme on 10-08-2008 Text won't break over a page On my print view, when the contents of a rich text box is too long to fit on one page, a page break is inserted automatically and the contents printed on the next page. How can I stop this behaviour and simply have Infopath split the text when the bottom of the first page is reached? Posted to General (Forum) by Graeme on 10-08-2008 Workflow without Sharepoint Unfortunately Sharepoint is not an option here, so I am investigating how to do workflow (basic form approval process) using WF. Are there any examples/walkthroughs out there using WF or some other tool? TIA Posted to Workflow (Forum) by Graeme on 09-10-2008 Re: Select Certificate dialog OK, I can answer my own question now: "InfoPath uses only those certificates that have a private key and a Digital Signature or Both value for the Key Usage attribute." So the dialog box only show such certificates.
